Flossie ~CGC prepped!'s Story...
7/13/2015: Flossie is not recommended with small children because of her tendency to guard her precious stuffed toys. We recommend Flossie for children 10 years and up.

Update on 4/14/2015: Flossie has now been in our program for over a year and in that time she has won a lot of hearts. While Flossie is not good with cats, she's met so many dogs and kids and has been wonderful attending events for Pen Pals. Flossie is currently in foster care in Richmond because her foster mom was supposed to have her for a weekend, and then just decided to keep her because she's so easy to take care of. Flossie knows her basic manners, but she's also wonderful in her crate and knows more complex tricks like roll over and play dead. Flossie is a wonderful snuggler and really appreciates belly rubs. Flossie adjusts well to new situations and meets everyone with confidence and enthusiasm, and she does well traveling, so she'd be a good companion for someone who is always on the go. She likes long walks and lazy Sundays. She has been housed with a 4 and 1/2 foot fence with no incidents of escape. Everyone loves Flossie--now she just needs her forever home.

Flossie has been working really hard and is such a sweet girl- she will roll right over for a belly rub and is content to just hang out with you. She loves the other dogs and ALL the people she meets- now she just needs her own family.

To know her is to love her! Flossie was rescued from a euthanizing animal control and is very appreciative! Super-social, excellent with other dogs, and quite the looker...Flossie is the total package!

At four and a half years old and 43 lbs, Flossie is the ultimate family pet!

Flossie is receiving obedience training at a Virginia correctional center. To learn more about the Pen Pals program, please visit our website at www.fetchacure.com. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Flossie ~CGC prepped!, a Richmond Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
