Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Barbie is a real show-stopper with her rich grey coat and speckled feet and the best news is that she has the personality to match her good looks. After she came in with who we think is her daughter, Barbie has impressed us with her stellar manners and gentle affectionate nature with everyone she meets. There were no red flags in her professional evaluation and she was regal and mature and tolerated everything without issue. She has had many play sessions with her 'daughter' and we find that she interacts a bit roughly with her so have not paired her with any other dogs yet. We feel, at this time, that the stress of the kennel is affecting her reactions to other dogs so would prefer that she be the only dog in a home, at least initially until she can settle in and decompress. If there were a dog that Barbie could live with, it would best be a mellow male dog or younger female with an easy-going temperament as she is used to be the MOM-IN-CHARGE ( she has clearly had a few litters of puppies to make someone a fast buck before she was dumped). She loves affection and NEVER gets mouthy so a home with children is a real possibility for this beauty. She really turns on the smarty pants genetics when we start training with her and she focuses intently and loves to learn and train. Barbie is a wonderful girl who we are working on getting into a foster home situation so she can really relax while waiting for her forever home so please call the shelter first or message us on Facebook if you would like to meet her- You will definitely NOT be sorry.
