My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a 2 1/2 year old neutered, male Jack Russell Terrier mix. I weigh about 15 pounds.

I am the happiest pup you will ever meet! Nothing gets me down! My tail is always wagging and I always have a smile on my face. I'm cute as a button, too! Just look at me! I have an adorable eye patch and a cute little heart on my nose. It's not hard to guess where I got my name from!

I was left outside a local high-kill shelter after-hours. How sad right?! The shelter staff noticed that I was missing a bunch of hair everywhere. They did a skin scrape and found out that I had mange. They started me on some antibiotics and some medication for the mange. I spent about two weeks at the shelter before CageFree rescued me. I continued to take my medication and eventually my mange cleared up and I was back to my normal self again.

It wasn't long before people started to take notice of me. After just a very short time with my friends at the rescue, I was adopted out to this very nice man that loved and cared for me dearly. Sadly, after just 2 1/2 years of living with my dad, he was told that his job was being transferred out of the country. We were both heartbroken. We discussed all our options and in the end, my dad decided that instead of putting me through a very lengthy quarantine, that it would be better for me to find a new family. So, here I am. I am looking for a forever home this time around. I just don't think that I have it in me to continually change families.

Do you think that I would make a good companion for you? If so, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree. I love all my friends here, but it isn't the same as having a home to call my own!
