My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sam is a beautiful brindle Boston Terrier with a cute undocked tail. He is 19 months old and 18 lbs but could stand to gain a few more. Sam loves everyone. He currently lives with a Boston foster sister and he loves to snuggle up with her.

Sam is afraid of loud sounds such as fireworks or gunshots, he also does not like yelling. He's an excitable, but gentle, submissive boy who needs a strong owner or another dog to attach himself to. He loves to snuggle up in the bed or on the couch. In the beginning, he would whine if left alone. Now that he shares an extra large crate with his foster sister, he is happy while his foster mom is at work. He shows unconditional love to humans and other dogs. Sam loves a good walk, he does well on a leash but may sometimes pull if he sees a squirrel. He shows no sign of food aggression or aggression in any form; he's a lover, not a fighter.

Sam is crate trained and potty trained. He will even follow basic commands without treats. Sam would do best in a home without young children as he is scared of loud sounds and noises. Sam would do excellent with a doggy brother or sister, or alone as the center of attention. As long as Sam has a human and/or dog to bond with, he'll be the happiest dog alive.

Sam is up to date with his vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative. If you would like to know more about Sam, please call his foster mom, Dawn, at 386-864-1472. To adopt Sam, visit bostonrescueofsc.com and fill out the adoption application. Sam's adoption fee is $300.
