My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, My name is Sable. I am 3 years old, tall and slender. I have been with my foster person since I was about 4 months and it has been a really good life. But, I really want a home that I can truly call my own. I am a sweet girl. I love to take walks and play with my foster fur brother. I like toys and I am not a finicky eater. I am not the kind of dog that you can just walk up to. There has to be a warming up period. But once I get to know you I am putty in your hands. To know me is to love me and for me to love you. I am beautiful as you can see and I stand out in a crowd. I actually stand above the crowd, ha ha. Please take me as your forever dog. Love, Sable.

Sable is a precious 3 year old, 66 pound, mixed breed dog. Sable would love to find a quiet, calm, dog-loving family to spend the rest of her life with. Sable has gone through training classes with her foster mom. She is very smart so she learned quickly and was the star of the show. Please note that because Sable is large and playful, we do not recommend her to families with children under 5 as she might accidentally knock over a toddler.

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
