My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie is a 2 year old Doberman Pinscher mix that is petite and very sweet. To say she is full of energy is to under estimate that part of her personality. She came from a very sad early existence in life where she was rescued from a family who almost starved her to death and let her skin get really bad. Dobermans are known to have skin issues that erupt if they are stressed or their health is not good. She was skinny and wormy and losing hair. Now she is back up to a healthier (but petite size) weight of 50 pounds and we have taken her form 50% hair loss to all hair grown back in on this pretty girl. Dixie is a beautiful Red Doberman with tan highlights. She is a social butterfly and loves all other dogs and especially kind people. She eats like a small horse but is so active and busy that she must burn it all off the minute she puts it on. She craves attention and wants to be the center of it at all times. She would make a great running partner anywhere. She is not skittish and would enjoy the activity of joining someone hiking, running or briskly walking down the street for a nice hour of power walk. She is learning to be crated and to sit. All we ask is that someone think seriously about giving this pretty Dixie Dobie a forever active home that she deserves. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
