My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh my goodness! How can anyone resist Lacey? She is a beautiful, dainty, sweet little girl with the biggest, roundest, loveliest green eyes you ever saw. Talk about a lasting first impression!

However, it’s what happens next that draws you in even deeper and before you know it, Lacey has you wrapped around her dainty little paws. You see Lacey is a bit shy at first, but as soon as you make contact, Lacey buries her head in the palm of your hand and the purring starts instantaneously, increasing in volume as you rub her ears and scratch her chin.

Intrigued, you pet her more and you come to realize that Lacey really enjoys your affections and the petting. Encouraged, you pick her up only to find that she loves being held and will curl up in your arms, snuggling as close as she can to your neck. You have a similar experience when in a sitting position with Lacey…she’ll climb into your lap, crawl on your chest, and try to snuggle as close to your neck as she can. In either of these scenarios, the purring that began the instant you touched her doesn’t slow down one bit the entire time you have her in your arms or in your lap! It is also highly likely that you have very delicately and repeatedly been kitty kissed by Lacey. Needless to say, by now you are putty in her paws and find there is nothing you wouldn’t do for her!

Lacey’s friendly nature also extends to other good-natured kitties. Lacey is always interested in what is going on around her. One of her favorite things to do is find a high perch on the nearest kitty condo where she can observe and enjoy the antics of the other kitties. Good thing we have Lacey to keep an eye on everyone – it was thanks to her watchful eye and subsequent actions that a volunteer became alerted to one of her roommates’ predicament – her roommate had gotten himself stuck behind the dryer! Lacey does enjoy batting around toy mice and playing with wand toys, of the swizzle and feather variety.

Lacey is a special little girl and will make an amazing companion for some lucky family! To learn more - www.azrescue.org.

Lacey was given up by her owners because the other cats in the house were attacking her.
