My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is a sweet and gentle girl who wants nothing more than a loving, safe forever home to call her own. Her tale is one of incredible survival against all odds: Lucy has burn scars along her back and side, most likely from hot water or hot cooking oil thrown at her when she foraged for food behind restaurants during her life on the streets. By the time she was rescued, Lucy was nursing a litter of 2-week old kittens. Despite her own injury she was a loving mother who kept her 5 kittens alive against the odds.

Lucy's kittens were all healthy, FIV negative and adopted out into loving homes. Ever the patient mother, Lucy still waits for hers. Although she tested positive for FIV (Feline Immuno-Deficiency Virus), Lucy is symptom-free and in excellent health. She lives with FIV negative cats, posing no risk to them. With good nutrition and lots of love, this special survivor has the same life expectancy as any other cat. Read more about FIV here: http://www.foranimalsinc.com/resources/fiv-catching-a-bad-case-of-rumors/

Lucy prefers to be an only kitty so she can have all your love to herself, but would be ok with other mellow cats. Please open your heart and home to this girl, and give her so the love, care and safety she so deserves!
