My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zack is a very handsome boy. He is a purebred rottweiler. He is potty trained and knows most basic commands. He is not destructive. He is approximately 3 years of age. In June of 2013, Zack was rescued from the euthanasia list at the county pound and put into a foster home with two young boys ages 3 and 5 yrs old. He also shared his home with an older rottie mix female and a rottie puppy about 12 weeks old. Zack did okay with the dogs. However, Zack would probably do best as an only dog. About a month after he was rescues in June, he was adopted by a couple with no kids or other dogs. They hired a positive only trainer, who did not handle Zack properly and In my opinion she made things worse for Zack and he now has a lot of anxiety. He is living in a kennel currently because the couple that adopted him dumped him at the pound and left him to die! So we rescued him a 2nd time from the shelter. He is a dominant stubborn rottweiler that will need someone with prior experience with the breed and knows how to handle a rottweiler. We are willing to pay from some sessions with our trainer so that he can help you raise Zack correctly. Zack is actually a really good boy, he just has a lot of anxiety. Zack has never growled at or biten anyone to my knowledge. He just needs to learn how to relax sometimes and he could be the best dog ever. We would be happy to introduce Zack to you. I think that I am stressing that he has anxiety because he is made to live with 5 other dogs at the time being and that contributes to a lot of his stress. When Zack cant see the other dogs , he is a lot more relaxed and just goes with the flow. If you have no other animals you may never see the side of Zack that I am most concerned about. Please consider giving Zack a chance and just meet him if you are the kind of person who does not have a need to take your dog with you wherever you go, or have more then 1 animal. Zack also needs a foster home. So we are willing to let you try Zack on for size and see how he does with you and your family before making a commitment to give him a forever home. We will even give you the food to feed him during that period. Fill out a question and meet Zack today!

Update on Zack -as of Monday February 10th Zack was enrolled in a 2 week intensive boot camp program. We have invested thousands of dollars into Zack. That is how much we believe in him and that with the right owner he will make an excellent pet. His trainer is willing to meet with you and show you exactly the best way to love Zack, and you will be welcomed to take him back to the training facility for weekly training all on our tab! The training facility is Balancing Paws ( http://www.balancingpaws.net ) and they are at 32nd St and Greenway. For those of you who watch Animal Planet's The Dog Whisperer, Zack's trainer, Yoni, went to Cesar Malon's dog training school. His new adopter /foster will have one year of group classes available to them for free! Classes usually cost $30 a session, and you can attend 2x a week for the next year. That is $3120 in training session included in his adoption fee of just $300.
