My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kari was found starving and scared running around a busy West Virginia road, right before a snow storm hit. Luckily a few college kids found her on their way back to campus. She stayed in one of the dorms for a few days until the cold weather passed and until she could receive veterinary care. In the dorm she behaved very well. She didn’t bark and had no accidents. One of the students volunteered at a local animal shelter, where she has recently been staying. She has been receiving regular meals and is putting on weight quickly. Kari is dog friendly, but has not yet been tested with cats. Kari loves people and would even do well in a home with children. Kari is a very sweet young dog that would like a home where she is loved and knows she will receive plenty of treats and attention. She is estimated to be around 3 years old

The Empty Shelter Project operates as a foster-based animal rescue. We do not have an actual facility for viewing dogs but potential adopters are welcome to meet dogs at our adoption events at PetValu every Sunday from 11-3. If you see a specific pet you would like to meet, please contact us in advance to make sure they will be at the event. PetValu is located at 10079 Market Circle Dr, Manassas VA 20110.
