Cole's Story...
Let me introduce myself, I am Cole a wonderful (and totally handsome) male Golden Retriever/Yellow Labrador mix. I am a well mannered fella, a bit more training wouldnt hurt, but I am sure I will make a great companion. I love people and do great with other dogs so I will enjoy trips to the park. I am anxious when left home alone but I am housebroken already, and I ride well in the car so I will be able to run errands with you too (just bring me bone to chew on, you know to keep the seatbelts safe if I get bored) . I get very excited about the leash so I will love to go for walks, maybe almost as much as I will love sitting around the house getting love and attention from you. I like to play ball and I think doggy toys are really fun too. Come on in and say HI, I am sure to impress you. 1 1/2 years old- 65lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; current shots, neuter, microchip, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area only), 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cole, a Portland Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
