My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jasmyn and Malese were strays in Hillsboro, MO. A nice lady was feeding them but wasn't able to catch them. They stayed in the same area for quite a while and they stayed together. Once RCCR became involved, it took 3 days to catch them but they are safe in rescue now. When we had them vetted, we found that Malese was heartworm positive so we had her treated for that. Jasmyn was heartworm negative. We suspect that they could be sisters or mother and daughter since they stayed together with no home. They still hang out and play together a lot. It would be lovely to adopt them out together but we know from many years experience that they will do fine separated as well. We think that Jasmyn is about 3 years old. She is more timid than Malese so would do well in a more quiet environment - maybe with another dog in the home on which to model her behavior. She uses wee wee pads and a doggie door. Jasmyn is just a little bit of a chunker right now at 12 pounds (I know) but a measuring cup ought to get her down to a more normal weight which I'm guessing should be around 9 or 10 pounds, so she'll never be a 'tiny' chihuahua but she's an awesome little girl anyway. Oh yeah, one more thing about Jasmyn, she LOVES to have her picture taken. I point the camera at her and she strikes a pose. Such a ham! Jasmyn is spayed, up to date on all shots, is heartworm negative, has had a dental cleaning and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200 with all vet work done.
