Mack's Story...
Mack is a tri-colored boy who was found as a stray in North Georgia. He is around 7 years old. He came into the rescue in terrible shape and had every parasite there is. He is on the track to recovery. While he has completed his treatment for heartworms and the other parasites, he is still recovering from some skin issues and getting healthy in his foster home. Once he gets a complete 'clean bill of health' he will be available for adoption. He is also working on gaining some weight, as he came into the rescue extremely underweight. He is neutered and up-to-date on all his shots. Mack is a very sweet boy that will make any family very happy. He is doing very well with house training and his only accidents were on his first day here. He has five foster siblings (all dogs), who he gets along with famously (we are not sure about cats, however). He is still trying to figure out what playing is, but we know he will get the hang of it soon. He is not a big barker and only makes noise when his foster mom or dad is making breakfast or dinner. He is a very mellow boy who is happy with a dog bed and a few belly rubs from time to time. He loves to join his foster mom and dad on the couch, but he is quite content in a dog bed if his adoptive family prefers him off the furniture. Mack walks beautifully on a leash and rides in the car perfectly. He is not bothered by storms and a very easy going hound. He currently is on eye-drops and sits perfectly while his foster mom gives them to him. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mack – he is truly a wonderful hound who deserves nothing but the best home!
