My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please follow the links to the sponsoring organization or individual identified below for additional information and adoption applications.

My dog's name is Lincoln. Last February 2013 I adopted him from the Austin Humane Society. He was about 5 months old when we adopted him. He had a sister there too who also got adopted. When we first decided to get Lincoln, I did not take into account that I would be leaving in a year to go to college.

I live with my mother still so I thought that she could take care of him while I was away. But there are issues in our house that prevents this from being possible. I'm going up to Washington for college and I have no way of making sure that Lincoln is being taken care of. I do have more family here, but they don't appreciate dogs or have the patience for Lincoln.

Lincoln loves to cuddle. He loves attention and is very friendly. He has never shown any aggression towards animals or humans. He loves going on walks or playing outside, usually to chase squirrels. His neck/chest is his favorite place to be scratched. Lincoln does jump on people strangers sometimes but once he warms up to you, he will stop. He is a gentle giant and deserves the best home for a patient loving family.
