Gertrude's Story...
Meet Gertrude, a medium size Bulldog mix who is as sweet as they come. Often she is overlooked due to her breed, and reserved personality. But I assure you this calm girl has the purest of hearts and will open your eyes to how grateful animals can be. All this sweet girl needs is for someone to give her a chance. She has a rough life, alone on the streets for the majority of her life. Since being with us she has slowly opened up and showed us her gentle demeanor. If you are willing to open your heart and home up to Gertrude, please come to the center today. She will be waiting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gertrude, a Georgetown Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Georgetown, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Georgetown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Georgetown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Georgetown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Georgetown paves the way for another one to be saved.
