Blossom's Story...
Sweet little Blossom was picked up as a stray and taken to a high kill shelter. She was adopted but then returned because the family realized after they got home that they really were not interested in the responsibility of owning a dog. Blossom is a VERY pretty chiweenie ( mini doxie/Chihuahua). She is about 2 years old, maybe 2 1/2 and weighs about 12 lbs. She will be fully vetted and ready for her new home by 4/11. Blossom does well with other dogs and probably cats as she happy and playful. She would like a home with people that are round a lot like maybe a retired couple. She has been rejected and neglected enough. Now she needs love and security. If you would like to give this sweet girl the forever family she is praying for please contact lorainecm@comcast.net or omlc7@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blossom, a Brattleboro Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
