Jackson's Story...
COURTESY LISTING: Jackson is in private foster care and is not available for viewing at Crystal Creek. For more info on Jackson please email Jackson is a delightful young male Border Collie, medium energy, between 1-2 years old, who’ll make a fabulous companion for the right family. When he first came to us, Jackson was shy and hesitant but within a few days he’s showing his happy-go-lucky personality. He’s nuts about balls, and takes off headlong when one is tossed for him. Jackson is very attentive to voice commands, and wants very much to please. He evidently hasn’t had a speck of schooling though, so his manners are still rough and he’ll benefit from an obedience class. As willing as he is, we predict he’ll do well as long as he understands what’s expected of him. He really zeroes in on the squirrels in the yard, stalking them with unwavering focus so he may have too much prey drive to get along well with cats. Jackson is neutered, heartworm tested negative (and on preventative) and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is microchipped. Jackson is being fostered in West Lafayette. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jackson, a Battleground Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Battleground, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Battleground.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Battleground already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Battleground breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Battleground paves the way for another one to be saved.
