TJ's Story...
**Come Meet Me!! I'll be at Petco Middletown NJ on February 22nd from 12pm - 2pm**

TJ is a big, lovable mush! She is a big girl but loves to cuddle and thinks she's a lap dog. If you're up for giving affection, TJ is your girl! She has a gorgeous fluffy coat and would make a great snuggle buddy.

TJ runs up and down the runs at her boarding kennel kissing every dog and saying hello. She plays well with her new friend, adoptable Cy! TJ is somewhat of a puppy in a large body. While she can be a couch potato at times, she's got a lot of spunk and is a happy go lucky girl.

Your first step for adoption is to complete our adoption application at www.apathwaytohope.org. We will then screen your application through a vet reference check, phone interview (this is when you can ask all of your questions over the phone), reference checks (2) and a home visit. Our adoption donation is $300 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccines and preventatives up to date per the dog's age, health check, fecal / deworming as needed and heartworm testing and treatment as needed. More details will be provided if you are being considered for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TJ, a North Haledon Alaskan Malamute dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute for sale in North Haledon, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute dog from a breeder in North Haledon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Haledon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Haledon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Haledon paves the way for another one to be saved.
