Charley's Story...
Looking for a big bundle of joy? Look no further than Charley here. This poor guy was suffering from a skin condition when we rescued him (see "before" photo) but look at him now! He is beautiful and healthy. Charley is a Lab/Shar Pei/Mastiff mix around two and a half years old. The Mastiff part of the mix accounts for his bulk, but at a bit less than 73 pounds he is pretty compact. Charley is a real sweetheart and gets along with other dogs and all the humans he comes into contact with, including babies. Any family would be lucky to have this guy around to romp with, although Charley does prefer a home without cats. Charley is already neutered, dewormed, and vaccinated and is currently in foster care in Vancouver.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charley, a Vancouver Shar Pei/Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Mastiff for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Shar Pei/Mastiff dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Mastiff breeders who help with Shar Pei/Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
