COURTESY POST

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Hello, Tiger and Cocoa here. We are sad little orphans in need of a loving home.

We are sisters who have been together all of our lives. We were much loved and a little spoiled (in a good way) by our human dad. We lived with him in his small apartment at an assisted living facility. Last month our loving dad passed away, and we have been mourning his loss and wondering about our future.

Please, we do not want to be separated, and the nice lady who is fostering us is trying to prevent this by finding us a new home instead of sending us to the shelter. Unfortunately, she cannot keep us much longer, as her dogs frighten us.

We are healthy kitties with super soft “bunny like” fur, and we are very friendly. We like to be petted, especially once we get to know and trust you. We also respond to our names.

Oh, we are told there is something special about us. We both have green eyes and our orange fur is relatively rare, as orange is usually the color of male cats. Would you please consider taking care of us and giving us a new permanent home? We are very easy going kitties. We both eat wet and dry food and we like our treats. We are also both litterbox perfect.

Do you have a space in your home and heart for these two precious girls where they both can just be themselves and do their simple cat things, like giving and receiving some loving, sleeping, eating and following you around? These lovely girls don’t need much else in life except your love and tender understanding. It may take them a while to get over their sadness and confusion of what has happened to them recently, but we know they will come around and become loyal and loving companions.

For more information on these sweet girls, please call Frauke at 925-784-8244 or email her at loveallcats7@gmail.com.

Please note that Tiger & Cocoa are not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with their caretaker in San Ramon while Purebreds Plus places them in their new home. A donation to Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue in lieu of an adoption fee will gladly be accepted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cocoa and Tiger, a Davis Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Davis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
