My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HUDSON and Heath are brothers. They are 8 weeks old and so very sweet and snuggly. They are happy and healthy pups. Their mom was a black lab and she is not telling who the daddy is. They are approved for cats and kids of all ages.

Update (4/17): Hudson here. Guess what?? My brother Heath got adopted! His adopter was nice enough to foster me so I can stay with him til I find my furever family - how cool is that??? I am doing great! I am good in the crate and almost have the hang of that potty thing! I am the adventurous one - always curious and tons of fun!!

Update (4/07): Heath and Hudson are doing very well at house training. They both can hold their bladders for about 6-7 hours. It may be more but with success in mind, I like to get them out and reward the behavior. They also go #2 when walked in the yard for a bit and seem to understand the concept of "going out". This is great at their age. Heath is the alpha of the two. He is more independent, more curious, and often goes off on his own to nap. Hudson is more of a love bug and prefers to be with the pack. They entertain themselves well and are self-soothing. Once they are properly allowed to play, they will nap. Just like babies, you keep an eye on their behavior and you will know what they need. They do eat 3 times a day and usually the napping is when bellies are full. I find if they are cranky, they are hungry. They were in the crate for about 3 days and then they wanted to be with the rest of the pack, so into the bedroom they came. They sleep well together on their own bed and occasionally find themselves in the people bed. It happens :-)

Update (4/03): Hudson and Heath are doing very well. They entertain themselves and are quite well behaved. They are good in the crate and actually let us know if they need to go out instead of going in the crate. They are almost sleeping through the entire night now. We are having fun and all of our friends are enjoying them too but they really need a family to grow with!

Update (3/27): Hudson and Heath are sweet little guys with personality plus! They are just waiting for perfect family to call their own!

**Puppy-Approved Adopters Only**
'Puppy-Approved' means that the adopter is approved but also has an appropriate lifestyle for a puppy. Puppies require more time, attention and training. Many humans are wise enough to know their limits but puppies are sooo cute that people sometimes lose their good sense. We will only adopt puppies under 6 months of age to homes where someone is not gone more than four hours a day. Puppies need the socialization and training that only time with their humans can provide.

This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has around 50 dogs available for adoption.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. Within a few days of submitting an application you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.

An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a house check is required.
