**AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION SOON**
Little Rufus is a 6lbs Chihuahua that is approx 3 years old. He has quite a little character as he is currently living with 3 other med/large breed dogs as well as cats and gets along great with everyone. Rufus is a very smart dog so don’t underestimate him just because of his size… he does not know he is a little dog. He loves to go outside and play in the snow and be involved in every activity you are doing.
Little Rufus will make a great companion and friend to someone very special. He is very alert and attentive. Of course he is using his peepad in the house because of these awful cold temperatures make it hard for him to go out as often as he would like but he does ask for the door. So we think Rufus would love a home with a back yard where he can zip around in IF the warmer temperatures ever get here!
We don’t know what life was like for Rufus prior to coming into rescue but right now we feel that a home with no young children would be best for him as Rufus bonds quickly to one person and is fiercely loyal, common characteristics of the breed, and he will guard that one person.
Rufus is a burrower so his potential adoptive family must realize that when they bring Rufus home they will never sleep alone again, under the covers, close to you is where he wants to be always.
