Troy's Info...

Troy's Story...
Troy is a itty bitty 5 lb, terrier mix. His photos can't possibly do justice to how cute this boy is in person! Only 5 or so inches tall, he is a bit shy of new people but once he received a gentle pet on the head or scratch on the tail, he is your lap dog! Troy isn't a barker, loves other dogs that aren't too huge or bouncy (he is a tiny guy after all) and loves cats. This little boy really LOVES people and snuggling on a lap. As he just arrived, we will post more information soon.

To apply to adopt, please visit www.codrl.org. Troy's adoption fee is $200

Central Ohio Dog Rescue is not a shelter. All of our dogs are fostered in our homes and treated as family until they are adopted. We will not ship dogs and all adopters will need to complete an application before meeting one of our dogs. Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered will be adopted out with a spay/neuter agreement and refundable deposit. Dogs/puppies are NOT adopted out of state without a positive vet reference. Prospective adopters must be at least 24 years of age to adopt. All pets in the household must be spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations and heartworm. We process many applications and may not respond to every applicant. We try to chose the best home for each dog based upon the individual dog's needs. Please check out our website for additional information: www.codrl.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Troy, a Hilliard Scottie, Scottish Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Scottie, Scottish Terrier for sale in Hilliard, or seeking a Scottie, Scottish Terrier puppy from a breeder in Hilliard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hilliard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hilliard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Scottie, Scottish Terrier breeders who help with Scottie, Scottish Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hilliard paves the way for another one to be saved.
