Grover is a male Shih Tzu mix approximately 5 years in age. He is on the small side, weighing only 12 pounds full grown. Grover has a black and white, non-shedding coat that is easy to brush out and maintain. He is an affectionate, loyal dog who loves attention from his favorite people. He is an easy keeper inside the house and is content bopping around the backyard with you or hanging out while you go about your business. He enjoys treats and belly rubs, but is fairly undemanding overall. Grover will play with other small dogs his size and has a fun loving nature when he is romping around with his canine friends. He thrives when he can be close to you and included as a member of the family. Grover is a three legged dog and has been through a lot in his young life. He was brought into the shelter after being hit by a car and his back leg badly broken. Unfortunately, the leg could not be saved and was amputated. Throughout his recovery, Grover's tail just kept on wagging as he tried to make friends with everyone around him. Grover has recovered rapidly and adjusted to his new life on three legs with surprising ease. He gets around very well and can run and play just like other dogs. Grover walks well on leash with a harness and rides quietly in the car. He loves his walks and will get all excited when he sees the leash comes out. He would be a lovely little snuggle buddy and will show his utmost devotion to one or two people. He is eager to please and listens to direction. Grover is doing very well and is ready for his new forever home today!
Grover’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, UTD on VACCINATIONS, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Grover is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Sharon and is ready for his forever home.
