if you would like to meet Ella , put ELLA in the subject line
--I am an American Pit Bull Terrier
--I am approx. 3 years old and approx. 60 lbs
--I am a “special needs” dog due the amount of abuse I endured before I was rescued.
--My special needs are Not medical but mental / emotional
--At the time of my rescue I was found living in alley way. So thin and curled tight in a ball that I could hide behind a telephone pole. I was so scared of the human coming to rescue me that I simply froze, stiff like a rock and pooped in fear.
--Once in a safe place, it was found that I had bleeding open wounds on my buttocks and other parts of my body. I had scares, chipped teeth, and it was evident to see that my ears were cut (cropped) off with a pair of scissors, probably done in a back yard. I would not stand, I would not walk, I would not eat if a human was near me. I would freeze in fear of being hurt again.
--I have come a long way with the help of two different foster homes.
--I now come when my name is called, I like to be called Ella and enjoy being petted on my head
--I am learning that I LIKE OTHER DOGS, and I Need To Live with One
--I will NEED a home with at Least One Other Dog that is dog friendly, well trained / Mannered, and confidant to show me the ways of my new home and that my new humans are there to love me.
--I will Do Best in a Home With No Small Children
--I am kennel / crate trained, and will Do Best if you kennel me when you leave home and at night to sleep
--I am learning to go for walks and how to walk nicely, I actually really love to go for walks
--I am learning that in a home with loving people that I will seek out you to pet my head
--I will need Lots of Chew Bones…the heavy duty ones
--I am house trained but when scared might still have a little pee accident
--I will Need Constant Help overcoming my fear of humans
-- I will need someone that is extremely patient and has a lots of time.
--I will need someone that can understand why I am so afraid
--I need a person / family that knows that when I do learn to trust you, that I will love
you for the rest of your life and that some part of me will always be afraid
--I am spayed and up to date on my vaccination and Micro-chipped by Home Again
--There is an adoption fee to love me forever, but the money goes right toward the next animal in need
