My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tig is short for Tigger. He was named after the Winnie the Pooh character, Tigger, because Tiggers like to bounce and so does he. Tig will stand on his hind legs and beg for his treats with a little bounce in his step. He is really funny in his playfulness. He was found on the side of a highway and brought to a friend of the Boston Terrier Rescue. He then made his way into my home where he recovered from a few injuries and has been getting spoiled with love and attention.

There are 2 female Bostons in my home and he gets along well with them. My oldest female dog loves to wrestle around with him, while my youngest dog still isn’t too sure about him. Tig loves to play and be the first to get attention. He is also vocal and will try to talk to you to get your attention. In his excitement he will jump in your face to give kisses and he also playfully nips at your hands. He doesn’t mean any harm and has never hurt anyone but he would be a handful around small children because he can knock them down. He is not aggressive, just full of the dickens. We are working on his manners and he has gotten a little better, but he still needs to be worked with.

I have plenty of dog toys and nylon bones that have met the energetic Tig. I have lost a few of those toys because he has chewed them into pieces. I’m okay with that because it is better than him chewing on my shoes or furniture, which he has not done so far. If you decide to take Tig home I would suggest having plenty of chew toys for him. He also loves stuffed animals and has claimed a big ladybug pillow as his own chill pad.

Tig is estimated to be 2 to 3 years of age, 26+ pounds, has one eye that was already removed when I got him, heartworm negative, microchipped, neutered, and up to date on his shots. He is partially house-trained, he will get into a crate (although I have not crated him), and is a happy, loving boy just waiting for his forever family.

To find out more about Tig, call his foster mom, Susan, at 864-906-8554. To adopt Tig, visit bostonrescueofsc.com and complete the adoption application. Tig's adoption fee is $300.
