Belle's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Belle's Story...
Belle is believed to be about 11 years old, but don't let that fool you, this girl still has a lot of love to give. Belle is a bit of an independent lady but still loves attention and affection. She loves to be outside and take long walks. She is a husky after all!

Belle does fine with cats and will completely ignore them. She can get along with other dogs but they make her nervous. No aggression, but she prefers to just keep to herself. She is a mellow girl who just wants to be loved. She is housetrained and crate trained. She doesn't have much interest in toys anymore and stays off the furniture. All this sweetie wants is a warm blanket and a place to curl up.

Your first step for adoption is to complete our adoption application at www.apathwaytohope.org. We will then screen your application through a vet reference check, phone interview (this is when you can ask all of your questions over the phone), reference checks (2) and a home visit. Our adoption donation is $300 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccines and preventatives up to date per the dog's age, health check, fecal / deworming as needed and heartworm testing and treatment as needed. More details will be provided if you are being considered for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Belle, a North Haledon Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in North Haledon, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in North Haledon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Haledon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Haledon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Haledon paves the way for another one to be saved.
