This litter of Black Beauties Came into the Downey Shelter on March 10, 2014. They were 4 to 5 weeks old and still bottle feeding. Hissy and Spitty, they were a laugh riot, getting all puffed up and pretending they could attack. After all, they had never seen a 'people' before. Well that lasted about 2 hours. Once they realized that people were the ones with the wonderful formula in a bottle, they instantly started purring.
They are now 7 weeks old and will be ready to go to their new homes in about a week. They will be tested for FELV/FIV and given their first set of shots. They are each and every one of them a complete and total purring machine and now savagely attack their foam balls. They have been weaned on Merrick mixed with Gerbers Baby Food and are evolving into purrrrrfect little companions. I absolutely adore them.
We are a small rescue run solely by volunteers and rely on donations alone to survive. All major medical and emergency care comes out of our own pockets. We never put an animal down because of cost, no matter how high. Every fur baby deserves a chance at a better life. If you cannot adopt, please consider a small donation to help keep us going!!!
