Ricky's Story...
I was living with my sibs under a house. The lady of the house trapped us, put us in a bathroom, called K. to see if she would take us. The lady thought we were about 8 weeks old. I could be held and stroked. Amazing, since we were more like 15 weeks old. We were in our first foster home about 2 weeks. Then we went to K's home. I have become quite the lover. When K. sits down to put on or take off her shoes or boots, I love to jump into her lap. I get a little mad when she makes me get down.

I love to play with my sister, Jozy, and some of the other cats in this home. I'm a little scared of strangers, but once you win my trust, I'll be your best friend. I love it here, but I need to make room for another homeless cat. Will you be my new friend?

16 months old as of April 2014

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ricky, a detroit Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in detroit, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
