Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BEAR is a 6 year old yellow neutered male who weighs 72 pounds. Bear is a very sweet boy, and he knows basic commands. He seems to have an average energy level, and he doesn’t pull on lead. Bear wasn’t bothered or cared about the other dogs in the drop-off room at the shelter. He’s approved for kids ages 10+.
Update (4/12): Bear has become buddies with his foster fur brothers, the cat, and all of the human foster family. He is so comfortable now that he sleeps on his own bed right by his foster fur brothers. He also likes to take a snooze in a chair or better yet on the sofa. He is pretty quiet in the house and only barks when his foster fur brothers start barking when a visitor comes. Bear loves eating, especially yak chews, kibble, and wet food (though not all together!). He does a good job of holding himself back to sit and wait until his foster says “okay, good boy” to get his food. He loves to go for long car rides and would love to travel around with his forever family. He likes looking out at all of the sights as he drives by. Bear met some horses and pigs, and they didn’t seem to bother him either.
Update (4/10): Bear is a pretty chillaxed fellow who doesn’t get in much of a hurry. He likes to move along when necessary, but other than that he likes the idea of stopping along the way and smelling the spring air. He is a big lover boy who enjoys getting hugs, kisses, and ear rubs. Bear’s hair is growing back slowly, and he is starting to feel much better. He takes his thyroid medicine with peanut butter or with pill pockets twice a day, which he loves. He is so handsome and is getting such soft fuzzy baby fur in some of the places that need to be filled in yet. Bear loves hanging out in foster care, but, even more, he just wants to find his forever family!
Update 4/09): Bear is happy and is eating well. He sleeps well at night in his dog bed and waits for his fosters to get up in the morning. He does like to counter surf but is learning his boundaries. He is not a big barker, and he does not pull on the lead that much with an EZ walk harness. He loves Yak Chews more than antlers or nyla bones. He also loves to be with his fosters wherever they go. He rides in the crate in the back of the van without a peep and looks out the window every now and then. He also takes note of the cat but that is about it, no interest or prey drive. He kind of looks like the Bush's Beans dog because his tongue is often out the side of his mouth and then he gets this goofy look as he stares at you with the right side of his mouth slightly raised. He's such a sweet boy who wants to be your forever buddy!
