Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Breed: Yellow Labrador Retriever/Lab
Age: 1-2 years
Weight: Approx 30 -35 lbs
Good with dogs:Yes
Good with cats: Not Tested Yet
Good with kids: Best guess yes, but hasn't officially been tested
Energy Level:
Wellie looks like he is always saying "Pick me. Pick me. Pick me! He is full of positive energy. He doesn't let living life in the kennel get him down. As soon as he hits the playground, he picks up where he left off. Most like, with this old, chewed-up tennis ball. He loves that ball. It's almost as if he is torn. He wants to play with the ball, yet come over for a belly rub. Regardless of whatever he is doing, he always has a smile on his face. He even has a smile while in his kennel. He waits in front of his kennel while the employees clean the shelter. He yearns for freedom.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)
NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
