Rosie's Story...
Rosie is a sweet, playful and adorable Boxer/Pug mix (that's a guess). She is almost 2 years old, loves to play fetch, knows some commands and is a great dog! She is spayed and updated on vet care and ready for a new home.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/dog_applications/new. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative.

With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.

All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have one employee. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Medfield Boxer/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Pug for sale in Medfield, or seeking a Boxer/Pug dog from a breeder in Medfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Pug breeders who help with Boxer/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
