Louie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Louie's Story...
LOUIE is a delightfully happy and active boy. He's approximately a year old, and has a sleek and smooth easy care black and white coat. We think LOUIE is a McNab/Lab mix.

LOUIE is extremely athletic, he can run for hours, and he loves to play in the yard, chasing birds, rabbits, or toys or balls or anything that moves. We aren't sure how he is with cats, we don't have any here. LOUIE loves playing with the young boy in his foster home, and is happiest being a goofball playing with his toys and tossing them up in the air to himself.

LOUIE came to us with no training whatsoever, but he now knows a few basic commands, is housebroken, and crate trained. He could use some more time and training to be the wonderful partner we know he can be. LOUIE is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He'd make a wonderful running partner, but would probably excel in some kind of dog sports as well. LOUIE has been a wonderful family dog in his foster home, but its time for him to get matched up with his perfect forever family!

LOUIE is micro-chipped, heart worm negative, and up to date on his vaccinations. To learn more about LOUIE you must have an approved Adoption Application on file http://www.norcalbcrescue.org/adopt_info.html. In the spirit of mutual support Border Collie Rescue of Northern California has offered to forward applications from their applicants who also wish to consider adopting a dog from us. Please let us know if you have an application with BCRNC and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. If you have an approved application and wish to enquire about adopting LOUIE, please email Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org.

LOUIE is being fostered near Colusa, CA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louie, a Corning Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Corning, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Corning.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Corning already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Corning breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Corning paves the way for another one to be saved.
