Here's what the humans have to say about me:
✰✰ REX is AVAILABLE, Male 4 years young - Please read his entire BIO before inquiring. He needs a very specific home. To see more photos of REX please click http://norcalbcrescue.org/rex.html ✰✰
REX is a Gorgeous, Red and White, Blue-Eyed Border Collie/Husky mix. He is a fun loving boy who likes to play ball. Rex is very picky regarding which dogs he likes. He is also very picky about which people he likes. Rex has been in a number of foster homes and we consider him a special needs boy who needs a special home.
REX is doing very well in his current foster home where he has been for almost 2 years. We would like to find him an environment as similar to his current situation as possible.
He would make an excellent companion for a single person or couple who live away from the hustle and bustle and don't get many visitors, where he would be the only pet in the home. While he can get along with other dogs, he is very picky and can sometimes become a bully to his foster brothers and sisters. He did attack a cat at his last home so no cats. Because of his unpredictability he also could not be placed in a home with children. REX is comfortable out and about the house and is also crate trained and willingly will go into his crate, sometimes on his own and always when told "Go Lay Down." He sleeps in his crate every night and is also crated when his foster parents leave the house. Otherwise is free to roam the house during the day and has never had an accident in the house.
Rex is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on his vaccinations.
If you think you might be a good fit for Rex or to learn more about REX you must have an approved Adoption Application on file http://www.norcalbcrescue.org/adopt_procedures.html. In the spirit of mutual support Border Collie Rescue of Northern California has offered to forward applications from their applicants who also wish to consider adopting a dog from us. Please let us know if you have an application with BCRNC and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. If you have an approved application and wish to enquire about adopting REX please email Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org.
