My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone –my name is Tucker and I a 9 year old chocolate male, and very cute they tell me. Let me tell you about myself. A very nice lady came to see me in the shelter where I was taken by my previous family. This nice lady was told I have allergies and that is why I was at the shelter. The nice lady told me not to worry she would take me out of the shelter and take me to a foster home, and my foster family would help me find my forever home. So I now live with my foster parents, 3 doggie sisters and 1 doggie brother and kitties.

My foster family took me to a nice vet and we found out I have an ear infection–but it got better quickly–and I do have scar tissue in my ears from when I was younger–but guess what?? I can hear just fine. A few days later I was back at the vet having some fatty lumps removed. I have been wearing this plastic thing on my head so I won’t scratch my stitches. My foster parents tell me I am so good about wearing it.

My foster mom wants to tell you more about cute, wonderful me. Tucker is a very smart boy and knows sit, stay, come, shake. He LOVES to be with people and follows us around. Tucker gets along with our dogs just fine, is learning to walk on a leash (he sits and waits to have his leash put on and LOVES his walks. He does pull alot when he sees another dog or person he just has to go say hi to. He listens and follows commands, sits very still when we clean his ears and put drops in them. He sits and waits to be fed and takes treats gently –Tucker will go in his crate just to nap or may choose a dog bed for his nap. He sleeps all night in his crate. He loves belly rubs, and hasn’t tried to get on the furniture. Tucker has been left alone for short periods of time loose in the house with our dogs and he has been fine. He seems young for his age –he hops in the car by himself, goes up and down our stairs with no issues and goes on the hill in our backyard with our dogs to play.

In closing Tucker is a total sweetheart, who wants to be with and near his people. He is always ‘smiling’ and wagging his tail. He will make some lucky family a great companion.
