BRODIE's Story...
Brodie is quite the looker! This handsome guy was turned into the shelter by his previous owner on 3/27/14 after being adopted from the shelter when he was a young pup. Back then we knew him as Sir Lancelot because he was so charming! His owner said he was turning him in due to allergies. He is just a year old and weighs 72 lbs. Brodie is still the charming guy we remember, but he has learned his basic commands such as sit, stay and to walk well on a leash in his time away. He is current on his vaccines, neutered and micro chipped He will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Brodie's ID # is 564529 and he can be found in run 870 (which is off the adoption floor- he is stuck there due to overcrowding at the shelter. Just ask the staff to see him and they'll be happy to bring him out to meet you).

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

Act quickly to adopt BRODIE. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BRODIE, a Marietta Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
