Maggie's Story...
Maggie is just a baby, only 6 months old. She was given to the shelter by her previous owner. There was already one dog in the home and this dog would not welcome Maggie. In fact Maggie was getting attacked by this dog so the owner knew they could not live together. Maggie is a bit frightened right now not understanding where she is. She is medium in size, a red and black Shepard mix. Her owner reports she will get along with other dogs, cats and children. Maggie is used to living inside with a family and was learning all about being housebroken. Because she is a baby she is in that chewing stage so lots of doggie toys would be good to help her learn what and what not to use as a chew toys. She is teething and will eventually grow out of the chewing stage as she gets older. Her previous owner reports that Maggie will shake hands, I mean paws!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Somerset Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Somerset, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Somerset.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Somerset already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Somerset breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Somerset paves the way for another one to be saved.
