Griffin and his sister, Callie (see success story page on our website), were dumped from a truck on the side of a road in St. Bernard Parish, LA. Griffin is a handsome, sweet, and playful golden retriever. He is a little submissive but is coming out of his shell. He loves to be around people a lot and enjoys all the petting and scratching. He played with my friend’s son when they visited my house recently. Griffin enjoys spending time outside and loves to play with my female golden. They chase each other every time they are in the backyard. He is crate trained and follows me everywhere around the house. He is also a very smart dog and is responding well to sit and heel commands.

Griffin will definitely make a good and loving pet. Please contact us and see if Griffin is the right golden for your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Griffin, a Bourg Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Bourg, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Bourg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bourg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bourg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bourg paves the way for another one to be saved.
