My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ranger is a handsome young gentleman with the most beautiful golden eyes! He's 15 months old and we're thinking a Lab/Red tick Coonhound mix. He weighs 50 lbs and is just one big happy puppy! He was in a high kill shelter in Kentucky before HART rescued him, so he has a lot to smile about these days.

He's an active boy and will need a strong leader to help him learn how to be a gentleman. He just wants attention and to play so he gets very excited when he gets the chance to do either. Ranger is a puppy in a big body, so it would be best if he went to a home with no small children, only because he could accidentally knock them over or jump on them. Older kids would be fine though. A fenced in back yard would be best for Ranger since he has lots of energy to burn off and still needs some work learning how to walk on a leash. He needs a home without cats because he follows his instincts to chase and bark at them.

Ranger is such a funny guy who deserves a wonderful family to love him for the rest of his life. He's never had the chance to just be a dog, and hopes that his forever family finds him soon!

Ranger is microchipped, neutered & up to date on his shots & vaccines. Please complete an online application at www.rescueAhart.org if you'd like to meet him. Thanks!
