Skylar's Story...
Skylar is an itty bitty terrier that weighs 30 pounds and is full grown. She is 8 months old and may fill out width wise a tiny bit more. She is HOUSEBROKEN, crate trained and okay with most dogs. Cats are unknown at this time. Skylar was helped out of a home that really needed help in caring for her. The nice person that is fostering Skylar has two other dogs in the home, otherwise she would certainly enjoy her staying in the home but that is not an option. If you are wanting to adopt this beautiful little lady (and we mean little), please complete an online application at www.henricohumane.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skylar, a Richmond Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
