Good with cats: Curious
Good with kids: Yes

Meet Midnight! She is a beauty! She is a nuzzle and will rub up against you to get your attention or a pet. She loves human attention and will be a great cuddle buddy. She like to lay with squeaky toys and a ball. She will get down on her elbows - play position - when she wants to play. Midnight will engage other dogs to play. If there isn't anyone to play with her, she will toss the ball or toy into the air for herself. It is adorable to watch. Midnight will wag her tail so hard when she is happy that her butt will move back and forth too. She gives puppy dog eyes when she wants attention and will stare outside the kennel to get some human attention or contact. She loves humans more than anything. Training should be fun and easier with Midnight because she is food motivated. Does she sound like your kind of dog? Fill out an adoption application.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)

NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
