My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy post. This is this little family's story from their current mom : "I had originally followed an ad on craigslist for a "hairless rat in need of a good home" since I had been searching for hairless rats for a while, and I couldn't find any breeders or rescues that had them. After 2 hours of driving in the snowstorm of January 26th, I arrived at the lady's house in Sussex County and discovered she was a closet breeder. The rats were not handled and there was a whole bin of "hairless" rats roughly around 6 weeks old. They were breathing fine and everything was clean, so I figured after that drive that I might as well bring home a few and socialize them myself. I ended up getting two double rex and one standard coat. I had thought that they were all male. I had taken all three home... and discovered a screaming litter in the pirate ship hammock. They were all separated immediately and Momma Dobby raised them well,. The boys had all found homes, and I kept two with the adult males I still had from that woman. Not too many people are interested in the females. "

Please fill out an adoption application on our website http://www.smallpawsbighearts.org if you would like to take home a pair of these girls! (Or one if you currently have female rats!)
