My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'd like you to meet Charlie! Charlie is a very handsome black and white DLH male that is also de-clawed. We think that e may be a Maine oon Mix because he looks so much like one!!
He is looking for a new home as circumstances in his current home have changed and he is no longer able to get all the attention that he needs. Charlie is a snuggly boy who is also a bit sassy and will nip when he's had enough pets for the time being. He would do best in a cat savvy home where there are no young children. Charlie is a bit of a couch potato, having been an only cat for so long, and prefers hanging out with his person to playing with toys! He would make a great companion for the right person.
Charlie is also FIV positive.Which doesn't mean an awful lot because cats with FIV can, and do, live a long happy life. It's not something that can be catch by anyone other than another cat, and that can only happen with deep bite puncture wounds. There is a lot of misinformation about this as most people do not understand it at all........I know many people who have FIV cat with their other cats, and as they all get along really well, there's never been a problem. So, this can also be the case for Charlie or he can be someone's only cat.
You may obtain an online application by logging on to CatAdoptionRI.org or by emailing catadoptionteam@aol.com. All of the cats and kittens are placed with the Rhode Island State mandated proof of spay or neuter. In order to take your new cat or kitten home with you, there must be an approved application prior to any placement. Application approval is usually within 24-48 hours. We, at CATS, are very proud of all of the cats and kittens that we help facilitate finding new forever homes, and work very hard to make sure they are happy, healthy and well socialized. All of the cats and kittens are fed only a high end cat food. We are at the Providence Petco, located at 585 No. Main Street, Providence, RI every Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm and you are welcome to come by and see all the cats and kittens that are looking for new 'Forever Homes'. Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten on adoption day as each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their placed. The policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be placed spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all age appropriate shots. There will not be any placement of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO, which is so important to help combat the pet overpopulation crisis.
