Hi, my name is Four Roses, Rose for short. I have a bit of a big name as my entire litter is named after Kentucky Bourbon, we are the Bourbon Shots.
I am about 11 weeks old and right at 10 lbs. My mom is a beautiful full blooded 30 lb Basset and I am told daddy is a Beagle/Jack Russel mix. I came to rescue at about 3-4 weeks of age as the man that had me didn't want us anymore and after forcing mom and us Shots to live outside in the cold he was giving us away on Craigslist! Some Basset loving folks saw us and contacted some friends who took us in. We lived on a cool farm in Ky for the next 6 weeks, with 2 beagles and a dachshund plus cats and gorgeous horses. Our foster moms kept us warm and safe and very loved. One of us was even adopted by our foster mom's vet. Our foster moms fell in love with us all but knew they couldn't keep us so they adopted mom, American Honey. About a week ago we headed south to Knoxville TN and fostering with our original rescue Recycled Best Friends to be altered and readied for new forever homes. At my foster home, with brother Elmer T Lee, we played with two more beagles and a cool cat.
Initially I can be a bit reserved and am told I am not as much of a snuggler as my brother Elmer but I am smaller and I think cuter. I love to play and explore and definitely got the nose trait of both my parents. I am starting on house training but will need more work, I am after all only 11 weeks old.
Interested? As I am a puppy no kids under 5 please. A fenced yard a plus as I have both beagle and Basset in my DNA, which can make me a roamer and possibly a howler. Aaarrroooo.
