Very sweet 3 year old orange tabby boy with diminished vision, bonded with Encore. Very cuddly and snuggly.
Echo came to us as a 5 week old kitten in 2011 - he had an untreated upper respiratory tract that had caused perforations in both eyes and had a large wound over his shoulder from an unknown trauma (perhaps because he couldn't see). The wound was cleaned and sutured up and the infection was treated with antibiotics. With tlc and proper care - he blossomed. His laceration healed quickly and against all odds, his eyes healed down to a semi functional and comfortable state. So, while he has some decreased vision and mildly weepy eyes, he can still see well enough to act normal.
He was adopted with Encore when they were 5-6 months and they were happy and settled for 2 years. Then his owner made some poor personal decisions and lost his home and dropped them off at the shelter. Fortunately their initial foster mother was contacted by the shelter and bailed them out - so they are trying again - hopefully this time for a more stable home that will last forever.
