DJ Connor's Story...
DJ Connor isn’t a shy teenager, but a 2 year old, 25-pound Beagle mix looking for his forever home. True to his name, he’s a little shy when you first meet him, but he soon warms up! He loves to play outside and gets along great with other dogs and feline companions. DJ loves stuffed dog toys...but more than anything, he’s great at sleeping on his back all stretched out! He is also crate trained. DJ is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DJ Connor, a Jersey City Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Jersey City, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Jersey City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jersey City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jersey City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jersey City paves the way for another one to be saved.
