Shake's Story...
Name: Shake and Roll
Color: Orange Tabby
Breed: Domestic Shorthair Mix
Gender: Male
Age: 4 months
Shake and Roll are sweet; bashful guys looking for their loving forever homes. They are available for adoption at Whatcom Humane Society.
Big fan of: Attention and cheek rubs. Being kittens, they love playing with toys and people.
Dream home: They came in together and would love to go home together. If that’s not possible, they would really like to live with a playful cat that will help get them out of their shells and teach them some feline etiquette. They would be fine living with children over 8 that would be gentle with them and dogs that won't chase them. Cats can easily live 15-20 years, so they need a home that will stick with them for the long haul. As they grow up, their personality will start to shine through more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shake, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
