April 14, 2015 Update:

Gracie continues to do well in her foster home. She is super sweet and a easy going dog. Gracie gets along with her foster home's three dogs and cats. She is a very submissive dog and will not engage in naughty behavior - in fact, she will run the other way. She now runs and plays with my other dogs or is just as happy playing by herself by throwing a toy in the air and jumping around. She does love to be outside or cuddled up on the couch. She knows her basic commands and will go to her kennel when it is time to eat.

Gracie does best when she has the confidence of her pack around her. She is still jumpy but walks up to everyone to be petted and loved on. We are very pleased how much progress she has made!

Gracie loves to take walks and gets so excited when you pull out a leash. She does not need to be crated (but does well in a crate) and does not chew on things that are not hers - but she does love her plush toys and does not pull the stuffing out! She will also do just about anything for a treat! She has super fast jaws that will catch a treat in the air lighting fast.

Her foster home is working on her manners when it comes to greeting her people when they come home. She just gets so excited that she jumps and cries with excitement. She has to sit before she is petted which is hard for her to do.

Gracie's ideal home would be a couple or family that is fairly quiet and easy going. If people do visit, Gracie may remove herself by going and laying down in another room that is quite. Her people will need to understand that she will need her space and not push her to be part of the action. Overall, she is a wonderful dog that will make someone a great companion.

December 28, 2014 Update:

Gracie has been doing great. She knows the household routine and has adapted very well. You could not find a more perfect dog than Gracie as she is house broken (and can hold it for a very long time). She knows basic obedience, is very loving and affectionate and will greet you at the door with excitement. She can also be left to have the run of the house as she is past the chewing stage. Gracie is happy playing by herself or with another dog, gets along with other dogs and cats (she lives with 4 other dogs and 3 cats). She is happy being your shadow or going off to take a nap by herself.

December 9, 2014 Update:

Gracie is settling in well at her new foster home. She is a very calm dog that does not need a lot of exercise. She can often be found playing in the back yard with a ball or a toy, just throwing in up in the air and catching it. She is still figuring out how to play with the other dogs in her foster home. You can tell she wants to play with them but is still not sure she can trust them. She loves to greet her foster family at the door by jumping up and giving kisses.

June 25, 2014 Update:

Gracie is a very sweet shy lady who loves attention. She is kennel trained and potty trained. Gracie gets along great with the 3 male dogs I have, she plays with them all. Gracie likes to play outside and play fetch and is still learning how to return it me. She plays nicely with toys inside and loves treats. Gracie is still very shy and timid around new people and men so would need to be adopted with a female in the home. Gracie does well with kids 8 and up; sudden movements still shake her up. On walks Gracie does great she's an easy walker very laid back.

April 14, 2014 Update:

Gracie has been with MARR for 3 weeks now. Gracie is still shy and timid but is gaining more confidence every day. She tries to play with the other dogs but when they want to play she leaves. Gracie would do best with a female as the owner as she lets males pet her though she don't listen to them ;) She loves to play with toys and get belly rubs! She definitely has lots to offer once she gains your trust.
