My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone loves Elmo! He's a 5 year old Shepherd/Retriever mix. Elmo was brought in as a rescue dog from Mexico. He's a friendly fellow that seems well adjusted. His family that rescued him cared for him for 5 months but thought he had a little too much energy for them. Elmo's former family said he is timid with men but good with women. He has dental issues including broken canines. Elmo has not been exposed to small children since being rescued, but has a gentle demeanor. This nice boy is partially house trained and will signal to go out most of the time. Elmo is good with cats, but timid/cautious around other dogs. He has not shown any aggression towards dogs or people since his arrival at Friendship. He walks great on a leash and likes affection and attention. All in all he's a pleasant pooch that would love a home to call his own...and he would be a great addition to any family.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
