Jake's Story...
Handsome Jake was born on February 20th to beautiful Aussie-Border
mix mommy, Darby, and what looks like may have been a black Lab daddy, but mama isn't telling us who her boyfriend was. Jake is like a big sack of squishy oatmeal, just melts in your arms when you hold him.
He's an outgoing, super social boy who seems to have inherited his mama's absolutely flawless temperament. Jake is probably going to
be in the 60 pound range when fully grown.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a La Habra Heights Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in La Habra Heights, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in La Habra Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Habra Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Habra Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Habra Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
